Here I am off to a writer's meeting. It's fun to get dressed up for a change, especially when I work at home, and spend half my time in t-shirts and sweatpants.

Originally, I had a 'News' page set up on my website, but decided it would get too annoying...who wants to scroll down an entire page to get to a current entry?



So, I set up this blog, and I was going to re-enter my posts, but since they're old, suffice it to say that I've written two books in the past three years. One of them, a historical romance set in Victorian London (can you tell I love that era from my website?) and the other is a fantasy romance also set in Victorian London, BUT, in an alternate universe, where titles are determined by magical ability. (The whole time I was writing the historical, I was thinking "But what if..." I guess you can't take the fantasy out of the writer...at least this one.)

If you noticed, I said two books in three years, and truly, I can do a book a year. But a lot of that time was spent learning about marketing and the book business.

I also learned about and did a couple of proposals during this time, which published authors usually submit instead of a full book. My problem is, I'm primarily a seat-of-the-pants writer, and I don't really get into a book, nor does the plot fully develop, until I'm halfway through it. So this has been a challenge for me.

I also did some research during this time, and I'll post more about that later too.
